Some French Aren't Completely Worthless
A French company (Vision IQ ) has developed a super-cool new computer system called Poseidon. Poseidon tracks the swimming patterns in a pool above and below water. If it detects a pattern of distress or lack of movement, it alerts the lifeguard with a picture and diagram of the swimmer in distress.
It saved the life of a young girl in Britain this week. There have been other successes with it such as saving a man having a heart attack.
That's cool! It costs a ton but arguably worth the price.
