Jesus according to ISLAM
This is meant as a follow up to "Muslims, Jews and Christians: What's the Difference?"
I have already pointed out that the Old Testament has many prophecies fufilled in Jesus. We have already demonstrated that Jesus cannot just be a prophet, because a prophet who calls himself a diety would cross the line into either being who he says he is OR a lunatic. John 13:13- "You call me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am." Jesus quoted as saying that he is in fact LORD.
Now, IF I were to make a logical argument regarding Islam and Jesus, I would first accept the Koran as a common text .
By agreeing to meet on the Muslim field of thought I can then point out these inconsistencies which further prove what Islam says of Jesus:
Surat al-Tahrim 66:12- "And Mary, daughter of 'Imran, whose body was chaste, therefore We breathed therein something of Our Spirit. And she put faith in the words of her Lord and His Scriptures, and was of the obedient." The Koran asserts Jesus was born of a virgin.
Surat as-Imran 3:49: quoting Jesus "And I announce unto you what ye eat and what ye store up in your houses. Lo! herein verily is a portent for you, if ye are to be believers" Muslim scholars believe that Jesus had miraculous powers of discernment even as a child.
Surat al-Imran 3:49"I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by Allah's leave" Jesus empowered by God to heal and raise from the dead
Surat Zukhruf 43:57,61 "And Lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow ME. This is the right path." Jesus proclaims to know the hour of judgment Day.
Surat al-Nisa 4:171 "The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and HIS word which HE conveyed unto Mary, and a Spirit from HIM." Jesus is God's living word.
Surat al-Imran 3:45 "(And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth the glad tidings of a word from HIM, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah)." The Koran acknowledges Jesus of Nazareth as the only Messiah of God.
Compare Koranic references of Jesus to Muhammad:

alpha and omega / / -a messenger
amen / / -a preacher
ancient of days / / -a Warner

Eternal Life
Friend of Sinners
First and Last
God our Savior
Good Shepherd
Holy One of God
Hope of Glory
I AM
Image of the Invisible God
Judge of the living and dead
King Eternal
Mighty God
Prince of Peace
Prophet
Priest
Redeemer
Way
Word of God
Word Made Flesh
I am not creating anything new. I am merely asserting what Dr. Anis A Shorrosh has researched from what is written in the book that the Muslims call Holy. He is a Palestinian-Arab and Christian who grew up with Muslims in East Jerusalem (it used to be East Jerusalem but with the changing times there who knows?). Every single component of this argument is from his book ISLAM REVEALED.
There are no consistencies in my Bible regarding Jesus. True Islamic scholars must bend and twist to an unbelievable angle to continue to deny Jesus and uphold Muhammad. Nothing I have written here is contray to the Koran, it is all quoted.
(When I have more time I'll show you how similar the Mormons are to the Muslims, now that one will blow your mind!)
